From the moment of your arrival – through the
orientation to the tours – you’ll know that you
have always belonged here. The locals, and our
staff will make you feel very comfortable and at
home immediately.
We will
ensure that you see a cross section of options that put you
in a position to identify value, and lifestyles
so you get a good perspective to decide on
relocation to this beautiful area of Costa
Rica. We are sure to present both the good and
the bad. You will see everything in the area
that matches your lifestyle and budget needs, meet the people who live here and are
now a big part of the communities. You will get
a good feel for the local lifestyles, dine in
jungle gourmet restaurants that will overwhelm
your taste buds and satisfy your pocketbook.
An in depth
presentation on owning property in Costa Rica
will form part of our seminar portion.
This will include the total real-estate process
– How to make the offer through taking the title
for your property. Concession land will be
covered in depth.
If you decide to buy
property, we will introduce you to a selection of fine, tried and
tested attorneys that have worked with us for
years. You will also meet our best Engineers. If
a development is your objective, our Company's
experience can guide you carefully through the
processes and put you with the best people to
ensure approvals expediently and properly.
A complete
list of professional services for all your
follow-up needs is provided, as well as
assistance in start-up, turnkey businesses and
property rentals.
MondayDay 1 - At your
arrival in the Juan Santamaria Airport in San Jose,
transportation will be waiting to take you to the
Hotel Torremolinos just outside of San Jose.
Tuesday Day 2 - Christopher Howard will meet you at the hotel’s
buffet breakfast. There, you will receive an
information packet about your trip, and Chris will
give you an introduction to Costa Rica focusing on
San Jose. Your hosts are one of the best Southern
hospitality and Real Estate services available.
Annie Drake our concierge, will attend the briefing
and tour you from San Jose to the south Pacific
which departs at 8:30. En route, she will narrate the points
of interest all along the way.
In the city, you will pass the Clinica Biblica Med.
Center sponsored by Baylor University, see several
Malls and many historical landmarks. Later, the
colonial city of Cartago, you begin the ascent over
the Cerro de Muerte mountain range to a height of
9,000 ft. with stunning views constantly. Bring a
sweater for the cooler climate when we stop for an
“agua dulce” or the national drink similar to hot
chocolate, but with local sugar cane.
San Isidro, Perez Zeledon is the fastest growing
city in Central America, but still has the charm of
a small town, nestled in the coffee and pineapple
fields, still at a high alt. There, lunch is at
Bazookas, a Costa Rican version of TGI Friday’s.
The mountain descent will lead you to Dominical, the
first town you will visit on the Whale Coast. Known
for its 17 ft. waves, it has become a surfing
destination. A quick trip to the town center will
take you past various hotels, restaurants and shops
before going south down the intense coastline. In
Uvita, the bus stops at our South Pacific Real
Estate Services office for your orientation to the
Costa Ballena. Our office lies at the beginning of
the famous Peninsula where a 1.5 mile long sandbar
forms the perfect shape of a whale’s tail.
Ironically, this marks the beginning of “Marina
Ballena” national underwater whale park.
Around 2pm, you will check into the Mar y Selva
Ecolodge where vivid views of the coastal reef
islands are visible through ancient primary
rainforest trees. Relax by the deck of the
sub-olympic size swimming pool. If the view
invigorates you, go on a short excursion like a
jungle hike, walk along the beach, get a massage or
rest in your deluxe jungle villa………. Just save your
appetite for dinner at the hotel where the owner
Marta grows her own exotic fruit and vegetables.
Wednesday Day 3 - After breakfast at the hotel,
individual staff members will take you on a
familiarization tour of the coast, focusing on the
towns of Dominical, Uvita and Ojochal. Along the
way, you will meet new people, visit local amenities
and experience our culture and attractions. Bring
your bathing suit if you are inclined to swim when
we visit the sea caves of Playa Ventanas or dive in
the Tilapia waterfall to see the secret cavern the
Virgel River has carved under the rock trapped in
the center of the falls.
Be sure to work up an appetite for lunch at La
Fogata pizzeria. The pizza dough, chicken and ribs
are smoked over the wood of coffee and litchi fruit
trees.
There will be time for a brief rest in your villa
before an afternoon mini-seminar at hotel. If
preferred, visit the organic garden, take a Jacuzzi
in your room or stroll on the jungle trails, looking
for scarlet macaws, monkeys, paccas, or many of the
other rain forest animals.
The afternoon holds a fountain of knowledge for you.
At our small seminar or MINI-SEMI, a variety of
professionals will provide you with information
needed for decisions about relocation and Real
Estate. An attorney, accountant, architect,
engineer, property management agent, and other
professionals will give presentations and be
available for individual consultations for your
small group. Learn about every aspect of the
“Relocation Process” from moving costs to residency
requirements. Anything that is not covered will be
provided later through one of our dinner speakers.
By now you should be expecting nothing but
adventure, luxury and surprises. Dinner will be
experienced at “Cuna del Angel” restaurant, hotel
and spa. This European resort called the Angel’s
Crib not only has exceptional European and
Mediterranean food, but the spa is one of the best
of the many in the area. Indulge in a mud facial or
hot rock massage. Get your hair styled or browse
through the unique rooms each named after angels
before dining on exquisite pasta or seafood caught
that day from the hotel’s boat.
After dinner, join one of our staff at a community
activity. Each night there is a different one,
please note the adjoining list. Turtle watches, live
music with open microphone night (kind of a real
life karaoke for musicians or wanna-be singers),
movies in outdoor theatres, poker tournaments, etc.
However, many chose to experience the “real night
life”. From the patio of your villa, you can search
for early ocelots, kinkajou’s, panthers or owls. If
you don’t see them, you will surely hear them.
Thursday Day 4 - After breakfast, you will get an
early start visiting a sampling of Real Estate
properties that are offered. By knowing what is
available you can make an informed decision about
your future. Our agents will not only show you what
is available, but continue to familiarize you with
the WC and its residents. You will become more
acquainted with the European village of Ojochal with
its multiple of gourmet restaurants, Uvita with its
invigorating beaches and waterfall covered
rainforest mountains that drop into the sea or
Dominical with its funky surf style cafes and giant
waves. Remember, that all of these are close
together. So, you don’t have to live there to
experience it, only close by.
A cordon blue chef, Sara will prepare your gourmet
lunch at the Chef’s Table. This hidden spot is
located on a mountainside with a cascading river
beside the exotic, 2 story rancho styled restaurant,
hotel and cooking school. Afterward, the day is yours. Relax in
your hotel, sea kayak, take surfing lessons or
continue your Property Search. Whatever you do,
spend the time deciding if this is the new life for
you. If you decide that you want to learn more about
this invigorating place, spend additional days. This
is an option that we can happily help you arrange.
This special final evening will be spent at Las
Terrazas, a Malaysian style hotel and restaurant
with blinding sunset views over the Whale’s Tail.
The only thing that competes with the view is the
food. Every Thurs. night is movie night at Las
Terrazas. After the meal, stay for the
entertainment, experience another community activity
or enjoy the real nightlife from your villa. By now,
you will know the drill.
Friday Day 5 - This is the worst day of all. Unless
you have extended your stay here, it is time to
depart the magnificent Whale Coast. There are still
many wonderful experiences in store, but not like
you will find here.
After breakfast, we will continue our trip up the
coast north to Manuel Antonio. A brief stop to see the
area then on to the central Pacific area where you will
pass Playa Hermosa one of Costa Rica's major
surfing spots, then on to of Jaco beach for lunch.
After lunch we will casually take you back to San Jose
and your Hotel. The journey has some breathtaking
mountains sights.
Once in SJ, we return to Torremolinos. This is your
final night and is free to do what you wish. |
